Okay, so ABNA , for those not addicted to writing competitions, means Amazon Breakout Novel Award . This is the first year I've dared to enter. And I got an email from Amazon last night to say I'd reached the quarter-finals! That means me and 499 others, but there's "real" authors included in that list - people whose books I've bought and paid for and read and thoroughly enjoyed. So it may be raining miserably outside, but here at my computer I'm over the moon and basking in literary sunshine. There are other rewards too, besides sunshine.
