I brought one home to put on the wall of my bedroom. But the teacher phoned and wanted it back for some kind of school competition which I didn’t win, of course, so a huge waste of time and energy. Daddy took the phone call and wanted to know what on earth the picture was about, so I told him Janet’s story and he threw a fit. He must have seen it in the papers but he hadn’t realized Lydia’s roommate was the girl in the park. So next Sunday we had our usual family dinner and an extra special row. Lydia stormed out the kitchen with Mom because Daddy was going on and on about safety and not going out at night as if Troy might...


Yes, I definitely need to do some more editing...
