Signed it!

Last January in our local writers' group we wrote goals on small pieces of paper and stored them in a box. Next month the box gets opened. The goals are unsigned and the aim's just to see how much we've each achieved during the year. Even if we don't achieve our goals, we're bound to succeed at somebody's. And then we'll set new goals for the coming year.

In 2012 my goal was to see a book written by me gracing a bookshelf in a genuine bookstore. And today I achieved it! (Can you tell I'm bouncing somewhere slightly over the moon?)

 So here's the book:

And here am I signing copies

with my Mum and the wonderful lady who set it all up. Thank you Renee. Thank you Powells!

I like that goal setting box idea! And I love seeing you achieve your dream of your books on a bookstore shelf!

I am reading Divide By Zero ... slowly, due to hectic work and holidays schedule.
Well done, Sheila! Isn't it wonderful when you reach your goal? I'm proud of you.

Sheila, you can't see it, but there's a big smile on my face for you. I'm reading "Divide By Zero" and it definitely deserves a place in any bookstore. I'll share what I thought as I launched into the first chapters - "Now this is what I call writing." I think you've entered the realm of literature with this one, Sheila. Congratulations on publishing a first-class book, and congratulations on achieving your goal! Bestest for the holidays and the new year.

Congratulations, Sheila! That is a wonderful accomplishment. You must have been very excited to see your book on the shelf at a major bookstore. Here's to many more of your books to follow suit! :)
