Falling in love with my Kindle

We flew to Texas for 10 days. I took one small suitcase--small enough to count as carryon--plus my computer... plus my kindle. Knowing Kindles are electronic and therefor can't be used around takeoff and landing, I took three real, paper-backed books (and read them). But all the rest of my reading supplies were on Kindle, and they really didn't take up very much space--hence one small case.

So, Pros and Cons of kindle vs paper, as deduced on a 10-day trip to Texas:

Yup. I still love the feel of real print books, but I'm falling in love with my Kindle.

I have Kindle for PC because it's free. It's nice for all those Kindle-only books I've been curious aboud as well as some reference books I wanted RIGHT NOW.

Glad you're enjoying the real Kindle.

I had my doubts at first, but now I think Kindle was really worth its money.

Sliding a final achievement under the wire...

The year's almost over and I really can't believe it. Where did the time go? I've been reading my friends' resolution lists posted online, and feeling bad about my lack thereof - of lists I mean; I have plenty more resolutions than I need. Get published. Get published. That seems to be my constant refrain, but not an aim I can claim to have much control over. Last year I tried amending it to "submit," and I think I managed it. At least, I was managing until summer. But then it was Christmas and New Year's Eve. Where did the time go? Still, I am sliding one final achievement under the wire of '09. I took the Poetic Asides November challenge, sometime in those missing months, and wrote a poem a day for 30 days. But then you have to organize a collection of 10-20 poems to complete the task.
