Versatility?

I was going to write some more book reviews, or maybe a post about Mum having to get out of her wheelchair and stand with her hands in the air at the airport--"Just step forwards with one foot please and don't touch anything..." Perhaps I could write about oceans of washing, or autumn's leaves whispering in the breeze--don't they know it's nearly spring? Or I could apologize for the 99 Facebook messages still not replied to, or 70 on gather... or perhaps...

I could run round the room in delight at Flower Child's coming 5th in Preditors and Editors sci-fi/fantasy shorts, but that wouldn't help me write anything on my blog.

Or I could just thank Brenda Youngerman for sharing a versatile blogger award with me (she interviewed me recently on her Tuesday spotlight).

The rules for accepting a versatile blogger award appear to be:
  1. nominate 5-15 fellow bloggers
  2. post the award picture
  3. thank the blogger with a link (see above)
  4. share 7 random facts about me
  5. include the rules, and
  6. inform nominated bloggers that they've been nominated...
Number 6 will add to the number of blog comments unresponded to, but I promise I'll catch up sometime. And there really ought to be a number seven (for completeness). Anyway, here's 7 random facts (not totally unrelated to Brenda's facts, so don't forget to follow the link):
  1. I love dogs
  2. I once caught a spider in the house and put it outside. My son, then aged two, promptly walked out and stepped on it. So much for pretended bravery.
  3. I think trains sometimes sound like foghorns, especially at night, and they help me dream of oceans in the mist.
  4. I can't count my favorite sounds, but they include waves on the shore, wind in the trees, and the patter of raindrops when I know I'm safe and dry.
  5. I always wanted to be ambidextrous.
  6. I worry too much, and
  7. I used to be a morning person, before I had kids.
Now to nominate some blogs:

  2. Mary Russell, who reviews, makes gifts, and tells wonderful children's stories

The increasing pace of life seems to be imminent with the constant evolution and inventions which are available from the technology. On the contrary, thanks to the development of technologies, are mitigated as much mundane daily tasks in our lives.

My husband and i have been fulfilled that Emmanuel could complete his basic research through the ideas he got out of the web pages. It's not at all simplistic to simply possibly be offering ideas that many men and women might have been trying to sell. And now we figure out we now have the blog owner to thank for that. All of the illustrations you made, the straightforward website menu, the friendships you help to create - it's mostly fabulous, and it's really facilitating our son and us recognize that this idea is amusing, and that's highly fundamental. Thanks for the whole lot!

Eternal curse might hide a blessing too.

Today is the official launch day for Toi Thomas's paranormal romance, Eternal Curse, and I was lucky enough to be offered a free preview copy some while ago. The novel creates an intriguing mythology of angelic beings and the Fall, binding it nicely to modern day characters in search of meaning for their lives. There's an interesting blend of the paranormal, faith and science, and the story has a nicely old-fashioned feel with separate underlying tales taking center stage on the way to resolution.  Today I'm delighted to welcome Kathryn Elizabeth Jones, author of " I walked with Jesus ," to my blog.
