He Passed !!!

Last Friday my youngest son took his driving test. He passed! (We all knew he would.) So now I'm officially allowed to fall asleep in the passenger seat while he drives me to the stores. Of course, there's plenty of driving to stores going on - he heads back to college next weekend, so there's software, books, clothes (except he says he's fine with holes in his jeans), sandals (holes in the sandals don't work so well), paper and pencils, toiletries and (yes, we nearly forgot it) washing powder! Then there'll be packing and the long weary drive. And then the house will be empty and silent again - no guitar, no heavy metal, no brothers arguing... Here's hoping he does the same good job of passing his college classes too.

Yay for your son. And for you. How exciting. Sending a child off to college is so exciting and so scary. Hide a camera in his room. No, of course, don't do that. At least not where he might see it.

Hi Sheila, thankyou for faithfully dropping by.... My daughter has just recently passed her driving test too, I think i am mnore worried about her driving on her lonesome than before when I sat beside her.. Traffic is pretty hairy scary in Sydney.. It is funny how much we miss the noise of our children when they leave home and long for it until they return back home..

And kudos to your son. I remember starting to drive. And going off to college. Both were rather scary.

Eternal curse might hide a blessing too.

Today is the official launch day for Toi Thomas's paranormal romance, Eternal Curse, and I was lucky enough to be offered a free preview copy some while ago. The novel creates an intriguing mythology of angelic beings and the Fall, binding it nicely to modern day characters in search of meaning for their lives.
